Rawrosaurus
SO I've been thinking of this piece for a while. Hey, let's admit it. Dinosaurs are pretty cool.
My first ever turnaround way back in the dark ages of Cert III was in fact this little guy. Hence decided that now that I've found my feet in 3D, I'll rework him as a 3D illustration or an actual character.
Plus I've always loved his pudgyness. And don't forget the bowtie.
So here's a quick concept to get me started. I can see a few flaws in the anatomy that will make modelling a pain. Namely the back legs and the nonexistent neck. But I'll work through them as I go.
Also those eyes... kind of cuteness overload. And creepy. Might change them.
And here's that ancient flash turnaround, for your amusement:

BMO
This week's weekly art challenge theme was fanfiction. Decided to dive into Adventure Time and model out BMO, the adorable game machine. Converting such a 2D style to 3D would certainly be interesting to do for some of the other characters.
Still need to add a few textures for the side details and facial expressions, but it was
good to churn out a quick cute model on a Sunday night :)
